President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya who is on a working visit to Nigeria has declared that Kenya will work closely with Nigeria in the fight against terrorism.The Kenyan leader spoke at a banquet hosted for him and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta at State House, Abuja.
“The fluid nature of
terror networks requires that we work together to ensure that there is
no hiding place for those who plot to kill and maim innocent men, women
and children,” the President said.
He noted
that Kenya and Nigeria play a leading role in peaceful resolution of
conflicts and preventive diplomacy in the continent, Mr Kenyatta said
that the two countries will also scale up their cooperation in
addressing their respective security challenges.
