Security:GEJ Holds Crucial Meeting With Security Chiefs


As a way of reviewing the current security situation in Nigeria,President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday held a private meeting with military chiefs and other heads of security agencies.The meeting is said to have focused on efforts which were being put in place to ensure the rescue of the abducted  girls.



President Jonathan had on Saturday last week attended a security meeting in Paris,France, which was at the instance of the French President Francois Hollande.The meeting was attended by leaders of Chad, Cameroon, Niger Republic, Benin Republic, U.S and E.U.During the said meeting,African and other world leaders declared war on Boko Haram and terrorism.
Monday’s security meeting was attended by the Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh; Chief of Army Staff, Kenneth Minimah; Chief of Naval Staff, Usman Jibrin; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Ademola Amosu.
The Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Abubakar, and the Director-General of State Security Service, SSS, Ita Ekpeyong, were also at the meeting which lasted for some hours.
