President Jonathan's administration obviously places high premium on the Power Sector.Consequently,the contractors handling power distribution projects in the country were on friday given 60 days deadline by the federal government to complete their contracts or be sanctioned.
The ultimatum was given by Vice President Namadi Sambo during a meeting with the transmission and distribution companies at the villa.He amongst other things informed them of the readiness of the government to assist them in acquiring transformers to enable them carry out proper power distribution across the country.He also urged the transmission and distribution companies to ensure transparency in their operations as they work together to achieve desired results for Nigerians.
