Senator Iyola Omisore,a former deputy governor of Osun State has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for the forthcoming governorship elections in Osun State.Out of the total votes,Senator Omisore scored 1,128 votes while Senator Olasunkanmi Alkinlabi got 45 votes, Mr. Wole Oke got five votes.
Ater he was declared winner,Omisore expressed appreciation to the delegates and and informed them that the party needed to work towards dislodging the APC led state government.“I welcome everybody on board. We must work together. APC has already lost in the state. Nothing is working; no commerce and the schools are in a comatose condition,”Omisore said.
