Face Your Charges And Stop The Misinformation-Presidency
The presidency has asked suspended Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to respond to charges against him rather than whip up sentiment by feeding the public with wrong information.
In a statement by the Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, the presidency expressed disappointment over Sanusi Lamido's efforts at making the public believe his supension was as a result of his allegation that NNPC had not remitted some amount of money into the federal account.
"The Presidency wishes to reaffirm that Mallam Sanusi’s suspension has absolutely nothing to do with his unproven and inconsistent claim that $49.8 Billion, $12 Billion or $20 Billion is missing from the national treasury”, the statement said.
